MYTH: Called “Swamp Cooler” because they create hot, humid air. FACT: Not true when EC properly used/installed can reduce temperatures by 40 deg with low humidity.
 
MYTH: Legionnaires. FACT: Water temp’s not favorable for Leginnaires
 
MYTH: Can’t use in libraries or around books. FACT: OK if purge cycle is used. New Mexico State Univ. is evap. cooled.
 
MYTH: Can’t use around desktop computers or printers. FACT: Check technical spec’s; new equipment can withstand large variations in temperature and humidity.
